about

What I did on my summer vacation. A collection of demos I recorded in my bedroom. This is the final result of my first foray into recording and songwriting, and I'm happy with it. Some lines I stole, most I wrote myself.
Many thanks to my family, Kurt Reinhardt, the Reinhardt family, David Peterson, all my friends, the people on the American Emo and US emo/screamo facebook groups, and Amazon 2-day shipping.

Track Name: A Promise Doesn't Count on the Internet
I was traveling...

On the road at midday
holding it in until the next break
pressure unseasonably high
moisture builds around my eyes

color on the side
on the pavement alights
to dance and flit across my static view

don't come too close

and it was still, one wing bent
one wing flattened, body pressed
the rolling rubber wringing
out its final breath

even in death it still retains
its vibrancy but when it rains
it will wash away like everything,
the rain paints in gray
Track Name: You've Done More to Me than You Will Ever Know
Sit alone sit alone
Search for something
That doesn't exist
It isn't there
You're gasping for air in a vacuum

It's time to let the dead dreams lie
with the fish and the frogs in the back yard
under the soil, where they're buried
something beautiful blooms

I will carry it always
some things we carry always
I will carry it always
some things we carry always
Track Name: You've Done More for Me than You Will Ever Know
I've been finding flaws
in everybody that I love
sometimes they disgust me
sometimes it's endearing

I hope that's how they see me
an imperfect human being
we are all living, breathing creatures
